How to get a Non Creamy layer certificate for OBC

Non Creamy Layer Certificate is a income proof stating that the family's income is less than 4.5 PA. Non creamy layer certificate is required for obtaining the OBC reservations in government jobs. If your parent's income (both father, mother) is less than 4.5 PA you can claim for the same.

Here is the method you have to follow to get a non-creamy layer certificate. If you are applying for a job/instituion which is under Government of Kerala, the non-creamy layer certificate is issued by your Village Officer. If you are applying for those institutions which are under central government, you have to get the certificate from Tahsildar.
Documents Required:

  1. Ration Card
  2. SSLC Xth class certificate
  3. Salary proof

Steps:

  1. Get the application form for applying for Non-creamy layer certificate. Specify whether you are applying for institutions under Government of Kerala or Government of India.(because the forms are different)
  2. Fill your details like name, date of birth, residential address, religion ,caste and subcaste , Name of Father/Mother/Spouse etc.
  3. Submit it to your Village Officer along with your SSLC certificate,Ration card. Its better you keep with you the recent land tax ( സ്ഥല നികുതി  )payment reciept.
  4. Village officer will verify all the documents and will ask you to submit the application form to your mother's native place's Village Officer. So go there and get the details about your mother's properties(if any).
  5. Then again go back to your Village Officer, He will then complete the part of  application form which is meant for Village Officers Report. Now everything is done
  6. If you are applying for institutions under Kerala government, Village Officer will issue the Non-creamy layer certificate.
  7. If you are applying for institutions under Central government, you have to submit the filled application form to Tahsildar. With in one week you'll get the Non-Creamy layer certificate.
